Krane Home

With her studio based in Santa Monica, Sharon Lee looks to her Korean American heritage for inspiration when modernizing traditional techniques with a signature process that involves hand-carving, block-printing, lacquer and gold leaf. Formerly a set designer and then an interior designer for Michael S. Smith, and having studied interior architecture, painting and photography, she brings a classically trained approach to her modern designs. She draws every pattern by hand to reinterpret traditional Korean art and forms from nature with an aesthetic that speaks to Americana. The brand works with hand-screen printers in Los Angeles, and uses textile grounds that are hand-dyed in the US or linen cloths created from flax fields in Belgium.
