Beech & Brass Valet by Ico Parisi
Born in Palermo, Italy, in 1916, Ico Parisi grew to become an architect, filmmaker and designer best known for his midcentury modern furniture. He married, and eventually designed with, Luisa Aiani, a student of Gio Ponti. This beech and brass valet Parisi designed for Fratelli Reguitti in the 1960s exemplifies his use of wood embellished with metal accents and shapes reminiscent of a boomerang.
